Trailblazers Recognized: Liondean Foundation’s Foundation Day Gala Spotlights Social Impact Makers

 

Vivek Sharma, New Delhi: The Liondean Foundation, renowned for its service-oriented initiatives over the past year, celebrated its First Foundation Day with a grand event at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi. The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances and a prestigious award ceremony recognizing outstanding individuals from diverse fields.

The program was led by Rupendra Tiwari, Founder of the Liondean Foundation, whose vision has guided the organization in uplifting underprivileged communities and promoting social welfare through impactful projects.

The event was graced by Shri Jagannath Sarkar, Member of Parliament from Ranaghat, West Bengal, as Chief Guest, along with Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University, and Vipin Gaur, General Secretary of the Newspaper Association of India, as Guests of Honour.

In his address, MP Jagannath Sarkar commended the Foundation’s dedication to social causes, saying, “There are very few people who selflessly serve society. Rupendra Tiwari and his team deserve heartfelt congratulations.” He stressed the importance of education for the underprivileged and urged more organizations to join such noble efforts.

Sandeep Marwah highlighted education as a key to solving many societal issues, asserting that an educated society earns respect globally. Vipin Gaur described journalism as the “biggest social service”, bridging the gap between the government and the people, and contributing significantly to nation-building.

The program was supported by The Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), a statutory public sector undertaking of the Government of India, established in 1957 under the Warehousing Corporations Act, 1962. CWC plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive warehousing, logistics, and supply chain solutions, including scientific storage for agricultural produce and industrial goods, custom-bonded warehousing, and transportation services. It serves a wide range of clients—from government organizations and private enterprises to e-commerce companies—offering integrated logistics in a responsible and environmentally sustainable manner.
