Vivek Sharma, New Delhi, 2nd August 2025 – In a powerful celebration of creativity, cultural exchange, and international friendship, MGH Korea Delhi Centre hosted a vibrant K-Beauty and K-Pop competition that brought together Indian youth and Korean cultural icons under one roof. Organized as a platform to promote Korean education, music, and beauty in India, the event saw enthusiastic participation from young Indians who competed in K-Pop dance, Korean vocal, and make-up artistry categories. The event was officially inaugurated with a captivating traditional Indian dance performance set to an Indian song, symbolizing a heartfelt tribute to India’s cultural heritage within a Korean-themed celebration—marking a genuine moment of Indo-Korean cultural fusion. This symbolic gesture underscored the deepening relationship between India and South Korea and reflected the core spirit of real cultural exchange. Founded by Prof. Lee Sang Jun of Hanyang University ERICA Campus, MGH Korea has played a pivotal role in spreading Korean language and culture globally since 2015, establishing centers in Myanmar, Canada, and most recently, in New Delhi in 2023.

The Delhi centre provides Korean language training from beginner to advanced levels and supports Indian students in securing admissions to prestigious South Korean universities through official MOUs. “Our goal is not only to teach the Korean language but also to connect students to Korea’s world-class universities and cultural experiences,” Prof. Lee said in his keynote address, calling K-Beauty and K-Pop “powerful mediums of cultural diplomacy that unite the world through creativity.” A special highlight of the event was the K-Beauty Awareness Showcase, where leading Korean brands introduced their skincare philosophies and innovations to the Indian audience. Green School, represented by Soo Jin Kim and Jung Im Bae, promoted sustainable education and Korean language awareness; Head Spa Seoul, led by Mooh Hee Han, showcased traditional Korean wellness-based scalp and skin treatments; BRICs India Trade Pvt. Ltd., represented by Tae Hwan Lim, highlighted academic and beauty-related opportunities for Indian students in Korea; and Skin First impressed attendees with their belief that “beauty is about glowing, healthy skin,” along with product demonstrations rooted in modern Korean skincare science. The competitions were a major draw, with young participants across India showcasing exceptional talent. In the K-Pop Dance category, Khushi Mathur won first place, followed by Khusboo and Ujjala Khatri.

In the Live Make-Up Artistry competition, Armani & Nimi took top honors, while Ritika & Kritika, and Devangi Das Sen & Dristi Sarkar secured the runner-up positions. The program concluded with resounding applause, reaffirming MGH Korea’s mission to empower Indian youth through language, education, and culture, while acting as a vibrant bridge between India and South Korea for generations to come.
