Uttarakhand elections 2017: Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in poll-bound Uttarakhand’s Rudrapur on Saturday. He slammed the opposition for asking for proof of surgical strikes India conducted across the Line of Control on terror launch pads last year. Speaking on corruption and black money, the prime minister said with the wishes of people of Uttarakhand, he has initiated the fight against this evil. Earlier in the day, the prime minister addressed a rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district, where he took on the Samajwadi party government, BSP and Congress. Attacking UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, PM Modi said, “Akhilesh branded Mayawati government corrupt five years ago and promised to send wrongdoers to jail. Did he do so?” He slammed the SP-Congress alliance as well saying, “Those opposed to each other have come together on one issue when I waged war on blackmoney as they felt they were losing foothold.”
