 बदायूं। उत्तर प्रदेश विधान परिषद के सदस्य वागीश पाठक को उत्तर प्रदेश विधान परिषद की तीन महत्वपूर्ण समितियों का सदस्य नामित किया गया है। इसे उनके विधायी एवं जनसेवा के सफर में महत्वपूर्ण जिम्मेदारी के रूप में देखा जा रहा है।

वागीश पाठक को नियम पुनरीक्षण समिति, प्रश्न एवं संदर्भ समिति तथा खाद्य पदार्थों में मिलावट एवं नकली औषधियों के प्रचलन से उत्पन्न जनस्वास्थ्य संबंधी समस्याओं की रोकथाम से संबंधित समिति का सदस्य बनाया गया है।

नामांकन के बाद वागीश पाठक ने उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ से मुलाकात कर उन्हें धन्यवाद दिया और नई जिम्मेदारी सौंपे जाने के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया।

उन्होंने उत्तर प्रदेश विधान परिषद के सभापति कुंवर मानवेंद्र प्रताप सिंह तथा विधान परिषद में सदन के नेता एवं उपमुख्यमंत्री केशव प्रसाद मौर्य के प्रति भी आभार व्यक्त किया। पाठक ने कहा कि महत्वपूर्ण समितियों में जिम्मेदारी देकर उन्हें जनहित से जुड़े विषयों पर काम करने का अवसर प्रदान किया गया है।

इस अवसर पर वागीश पाठक ने कहा कि इन महत्वपूर्ण समितियों में कार्य करने का अवसर उनके लिए सम्मान और गौरव का विषय है। उन्होंने कहा, “यह जिम्मेदारी केवल एक पद नहीं है, बल्कि जनसेवा के प्रति मेरी प्रतिबद्धता को और मजबूत करने का अवसर है। मैं पूरी निष्ठा, ईमानदारी और समर्पण के साथ इन समितियों के माध्यम से जनहित से जुड़े प्रत्येक विषय को प्रभावी ढंग से उठाने का प्रयास करूंगा।”

उन्होंने विशेष रूप से खाद्य पदार्थों में मिलावट और नकली दवाओं के प्रसार को गंभीर जनस्वास्थ्य का मुद्दा बताते हुए कहा कि इसका सीधा प्रभाव आम नागरिकों के स्वास्थ्य और सुरक्षा पर पड़ता है। उन्होंने कहा कि मिलावटी खाद्य पदार्थों और नकली दवाओं की रोकथाम के लिए प्रभावी कदम उठाना अत्यंत आवश्यक है और इस दिशा में सार्थक योगदान देने का हर संभव प्रयास किया जाएगा।

वागीश पाठक ने कहा कि प्रश्न एवं संदर्भ समिति तथा नियम पुनरीक्षण समिति के माध्यम से उनका प्रयास रहेगा कि शासन व्यवस्था को अधिक प्रभावी, पारदर्शी और जनोन्मुख बनाया जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि जनता की समस्याएं, अपेक्षाएं और सुझाव उनकी प्राथमिकताओं में रहेंगे।

उन्होंने कहा कि जनस्वास्थ्य, सुशासन, पारदर्शिता और जनकल्याण से जुड़े विषयों को प्राथमिकता देते हुए वह उन्हें सौंपी गई जिम्मेदारियों का पूरी ईमानदारी और जवाबदेही के साथ निर्वहन करेंगे।

Campaign Sets Goal of Reaching 3.5 Crore Women Under “Breast Cancer Free 2030” Initiative

New Delhi: India Turns Pink and Pink Ribbon International have jointly launched a major collaboration aimed at strengthening breast health awareness, prevention, early detection, screening, research, and support services across India.

The collaboration was formally announced at a programme titled “Pink Ribbon Foundation & India Turns Pink Global Launch” held at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.

Working since 2013 with the mission “Early Detection Saves Lives,” India Turns Pink has been undertaking breast cancer awareness and free screening initiatives through CSR collaborations and community-based programmes. Pink Ribbon International, meanwhile, has been supporting breast cancer research, prevention, awareness and early-detection programmes across 96 countries.

As part of the new collaboration, Pink Ribbon Foundation India will be established as a national platform dedicated to strengthening efforts towards breast cancer prevention and eradication. The initiative will be guided by the vision “BREAST CANCER FREE 2030”, with a particular focus on improving access to breast health awareness, screening and early-detection services for women across India.

The programme was enlightened by Mr. Nico Schiettekatte, Counsellor for Health, Welfare & Sport, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in India.

Dr. Jyothshna Tirunagari, National Spokesperson, TDP and President of Samskara Foundation, attended the programme as a Chief Guest.

The event also witnessed the presence of several distinguished Guests of Honour, including AVM Manoj Kumar Mehra, Vishisht Seva Medal, PhD (Retd.); Dr. Rakhi Mehra, Professor and HOD, Ishan Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Centre, Noida; and Mrs. Mallika Thangeshwaran, former Advisory Panel Member, New Delhi Region, Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.

Leadership Behind the Initiative

The launch was led by Mr. P. A. Ananda Kumar, Founder & President, India Turns Pink, along with IT Secretary Mr. Annamalai Saravanan and Vice President Mr. Surya.

Representing Pink Ribbon International were Mr. Walter, Founder & Director, Pink Ribbon International, and Ms. Fionnuala Shannon, Director of Global Operations, Pink Ribbon International.

They called upon women, families, educational institutions, corporates, healthcare professionals and the wider community to come together and carry the message forward as a national movement for women's health.

The forum was held on 19–20 August 2026 at Sir Shankar Lal Concert Hall, University of Delhi, and was organised by the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Delhi, in collaboration with the Korea Global Foundation. Professors, researchers, scholars and experts from India, South Korea, China, Russia, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and the United Kingdom were listed in the programme for the various discussions.

The inaugural session featured remarks by Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi, including points concerning possibilities for India-Korea cooperation in technology, education and research. These included possible joint technology programmes, semester exchanges for students, joint PhD supervision and joint research laboratories. His remarks also referred to the role of universities, laboratories, industries, government policies, entrepreneurship and research investment in developing such an ecosystem.

H.E. Lee Seong-ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India, spoke about the longstanding relationship between Korea and India and the expansion of cooperation across different fields. His address also stressed cooperation and solidarity among countries in dealing with changes in the international environment, and expressed the hope that the forum would contribute to Korea-India cooperation, peace and prosperity.

Dr. Euy Don Park, President of the Southwest Asia Chapter Council, Peaceful Unification Advisory Council (PUAC), and Chair of the 2026 27th New Delhi World Korea Forum, highlighted India's significance as a strategic partner for peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the wider Indo-Pacific. His message identified dialogue, mutual trust and cooperation as important foundations for lasting peace.

Prof. (Dr.) Ranjana Mukhopadhyayaya, Head of the Department of East Asian Studies, in her welcome address, referred to the forum against the backdrop of rapid geopolitical, economic and technological developments in the Indo-Pacific. Her address highlighted the importance of dialogue, academic cooperation and international collaboration in responding to regional and global challenges.

The message of Prof. Dr. Tshangchu Rhee, Executive Head of the Korea Global Foundation, highlighted K-culture's role in generating international interest and cooperation. His message also emphasised dialogue, exchange and cooperation for peaceful coexistence on the Korean Peninsula and the importance of discussions on peace and inter-Korean relations.

Several sessions focused on the Korean Peninsula and the security environment in Northeast Asia. The programme included discussions on denuclearisation, nuclear self-reliance, inter-Korean relations, US-DPRK relations, North Korea's ties with China and Russia, and India's interests and strategic role on the Korean Peninsula.

Peace, reconciliation and Korean unification were also among the subjects discussed. Sessions examined the role of multilateral groups and the Global South, India's perspective on Korean unification, economic engagement between the two Koreas, common security and prospects for peace on the Korean Peninsula.

The forum also addressed broader changes in the international order, including the role of great and middle powers in the Indo-Pacific, Indian and Chinese perspectives on global developments, relations involving India, the European Union and emerging powers, and possible reforms in global governance mechanisms. 

Economic sessions covered economic security, fair trade, the political economy of BRICS and the Global South, Korea-India economic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific era, ASEAN political economy, and economic cooperation involving Russia and the DPRK.

The programme further included discussions on the Korean community and diaspora, Korean diaspora literature, Indian diaspora and transnationalism, diasporic Koreans and their ethnic homeland, and Korean communities in Central Asia. Cultural and intellectual sessions addressed Rabindranath Tagore, Indian philosophy, culture and civilisation, K-Culture, K-Philosophy, migration and South-South cooperation, and the Gandhi-Nehru political philosophy framework.

The two-day programme thus covered a wide range of discussions relating to geopolitics, security, economy, diplomacy, culture and diaspora, with Korea-India relations and wider international developments forming important areas of discussion.

 New Delhi: With the objective of connecting children and young people with Indian culture, the Sanskrit language, and the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Padhe-Badhe Trust organized an All-India Online Shloka Recitation Competition on Sunday, based on Chapter 12 of the Bhagavad Gita, titled “Bhakti Yoga.”

Children and young participants from different parts of the country took part in the online competition with great enthusiasm. Participants showcased their talent through accurate Sanskrit pronunciation, confidence, and expressive recitation of the shlokas.

Participants from Lucknow, Gujarat, Surat, Pune, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Sonipat and Ayodhya, among other places, joined the competition online. Through their recitations, they demonstrated their interest in and connection with India’s rich spiritual and cultural traditions.

According to the organizers, the objective of the competition was not limited to shloka recitation. It also aimed to create awareness among children and youth about Indian culture, the Sanskrit language, moral values and the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. The initiative encouraged participants to understand the values contained in the Gita and apply them in their daily lives.

The online event witnessed enthusiastic and confident performances by the participants. Their accurate pronunciation and heartfelt presentation made the competition particularly meaningful. Parents and teachers also encouraged children to participate in such educational and culturally enriching activities.

Participants who performed exceptionally well will be presented with gifts and certificates of appreciation by Padhe-Badhe Trust. In addition, all participants will receive certificates of appreciation in recognition of their enthusiasm, efforts and participation.

The Trust expressed its gratitude to all the participating children and youth, their parents, teachers and everyone who supported the organization of the event. The Trust stated that such creative and meaningful initiatives play an important role in developing knowledge, values, discipline and confidence among children while strengthening their connection with India’s cultural roots.

Padhe-Badhe Trust further stated that it will continue to organize various programmes related to education, culture, Indian traditions and social development in the future. The initiatives aim to introduce the younger generation to India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage and foster a positive outlook towards Indian values.

Organised by the Korea Global Foundation and co-hosted with the University of Delhi, the three-day forum seeks to provide a platform for examining contemporary geopolitical, geoeconomic and cultural transformations and exploring future-oriented cooperation, coexistence, peace and prosperity.

According to the organisers, the choice of New Delhi reflects India's growing significance in global affairs. The forum's background material describes India as a major power across economics, development, military affairs, geography, population, culture, history and diaspora, with the Indian diaspora also playing an influential role across several regions.

The forum comes at a time when strategic competition in the Indo-Pacific is intensifying, with major powers and regional countries increasingly focusing on economic, security and geopolitical interests in the region. The organisers highlight India's Act East Policy, its engagement with the Indo-Pacific and its role in platforms associated with the Global South, BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation as important elements of the changing regional landscape.

The central discussions of the forum will cover a broad range of subjects, including Korea-India relations, the Indo-Pacific, the Korean Peninsula, international security, the global economy, multilateralism, the Global South, diaspora, culture and future international cooperation.

The opening sessions are scheduled to address the changing geopolitical order and India's role in the emerging international environment. The programme includes discussions on the status of Korea-China-Japan studies and education in India, India's future development, Korea-India relations and strategic solidarity in the Indo-Pacific era.   इंडोनेशिया के बडुंग शहर में 25 जुलाई से 5 अगस्त 2026 तक आयोजित होने वाली वर्ल्ड बूमरैंग चैंपियनशिप 2026 में भाग लेने के लिए भारतीय बूमरैंग टीम आज इंडोनेशिया रवाना हो गई। प्रस्थान से पूर्व टीम ने भारतीय जनता पार्टी के सांसद जगन्नाथ सरकार से शिष्टाचार भेंट कर उनका आशीर्वाद एवं शुभकामनाएं प्राप्त कीं।

इस अवसर पर सांसद जगन्नाथ सरकार ने खिलाड़ियों का उत्साहवर्धन करते हुए उन्हें विश्व प्रतियोगिता में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन कर देश का नाम रोशन करने की शुभकामनाएं दीं।

बूमरैंग खेल मूल रूप से जनजातीय (ट्राइबल) संस्कृति से जुड़ा हुआ है। भारतीय टीम के आठ खिलाड़ियों में से चार खिलाड़ी आदिवासी समाज से हैं। इनमें पश्चिम बंगाल के अलीपुरद्वार निवासी भगवान दास टोप्पो भी शामिल हैं, जो इस प्रतियोगिता में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगे।

खिलाड़ियों को प्रोत्साहित करने और उनके मनोबल को बढ़ाने के लिए इंडो बूमरैंग एसोसिएशन के चेयरमैन नितिन खरबंदा विशेष रूप से उपस्थित रहे और टीम को हरसंभव सहयोग का आश्वासन दिया। इस दौरान बूमरैंग खेल का आकर्षक प्रदर्शन (डेमोंस्ट्रेशन) भी आयोजित किया गया।

New Delhi, May 12, 2026: International Nurses Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, dignity, and gratitude at the GIPMER Auditorium in New Delhi on Tuesday. The grand event was organized under the banner of the Nurses Association of GIPMER and witnessed the participation of nearly 500 nurses from various departments, making the occasion memorable and inspiring.

The celebration was attended by several distinguished personalities from the healthcare and social sectors. Dr. Puja Sakhuja, Director of GB Pant Hospital, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Smt. Vimal Rani, Nursing Superintendent, and Smt. Usha Rani were present as Special Guests and appreciated the dedication and hard work of nursing professionals.

Dr. Vipin Gaur, General Secretary of the Newspaper Association of India, and Sh. Vivek Sharma, Cultural Secretary of the Newspaper Association of India, attended the event as Guests of Honour. Both dignitaries praised the commitment, compassion, and tireless service of nurses towards society and patient care.

सूत्रों के मुताबिक नक्शा पास कराने, अवैध निर्माण मामलों में राहत दिलाने, कंप्लीशन सर्टिफिकेट जारी कराने, जमीन से जुड़े दस्तावेजों और अन्य प्रशासनिक कार्यों के नाम पर खुलेआम पैसों की मांग की जाती है। आरोप यह भी हैं कि विभाग के कुछ निचले स्तर के अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों ने अलग-अलग कार्यों के लिए “रेट लिस्ट” तक तय कर रखी है। कई लोग डर और प्रताड़ना के कारण खुलकर सामने नहीं आ पा रहे, लेकिन अंदरखाने भ्रष्टाचार की चर्चाएं जोरों पर हैं।

विशेष रूप से गाजियाबाद के इंदिरापुरम क्षेत्र में ऐसे मामलों ने अब तूल पकड़ना शुरू कर दिया है। स्थानीय लोगों का आरोप है कि निर्माण, नक्शा स्वीकृति और संपत्ति से जुड़े मामलों में कथित तौर पर भारी स्तर पर उगाही की जा रही है। कई नागरिकों का कहना है कि बिना पैसे दिए सामान्य प्रशासनिक कार्य तक समय पर नहीं किए जाते, जिससे लोगों में भारी नाराजगी है।

इतना ही नहीं, कुछ लोगों ने आरोप लगाया है कि जब कथित रूप से मांगी गई रकम नहीं दी जाती, तब संबंधित कर्मचारी या बिचौलिए फोन पर अभद्र भाषा, गाली-गलौज और धमकी भरे अंदाज में बात कर लोगों को डराने और मानसिक दबाव बनाने का प्रयास करते हैं। इससे आम नागरिकों में भय और असुरक्षा का माहौल पैदा हो रहा है।

स्थानीय नागरिकों का कहना है कि भ्रष्टाचार की शिकायतें कई बार उच्च अधिकारियों तक पहुंचाई गईं, लेकिन कार्रवाई के बजाय मामलों को दबा दिया जाता है। इससे रिश्वतखोर कर्मचारियों के हौसले इतने बढ़ गए हैं कि उन्हें अब न कानून का डर दिखाई देता है और न ही शासन-प्रशासन का भय।

हाल ही में दिल्ली नगर निगम (MCD) के एक डिप्टी कमिश्नर समेत कई अधिकारियों को CBI द्वारा रिश्वत लेते हुए रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार किए जाने के बाद गाजियाबाद में भी चर्चाएं तेज हो गई हैं। लोगों का कहना है कि यदि केंद्रीय एजेंसियां निष्पक्ष जांच करें तो GDA में भी बड़े स्तर पर भ्रष्टाचार का खुलासा हो सकता है। चर्चा यह भी है कि कुछ अधिकारी सत्ता और राजनीतिक संरक्षण के भरोसे खुलेआम उगाही में लगे हुए हैं।

सबसे बड़ा सवाल यह उठ रहा है कि मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ की भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ “जीरो टॉलरेंस” नीति के बावजूद आखिर गाजियाबाद में यह खेल किसके संरक्षण में चल रहा है? क्या संबंधित अधिकारियों को सरकार और कानून का कोई भय नहीं रह गया है?

सामाजिक संगठनों, आरडब्ल्यूए और स्थानीय लोगों ने मुख्यमंत्री से मांग की है कि GDA में चल रहे कथित भ्रष्टाचार, रिश्वतखोरी और उगाही की उच्चस्तरीय जांच कराई जाए। लोगों का कहना है कि यदि समय रहते कार्रवाई नहीं हुई तो जनता का सरकारी संस्थाओं से भरोसा पूरी तरह खत्म हो जाएगा।

फिलहाल, इस पूरे मामले में GDA प्रशासन की ओर से कोई आधिकारिक बयान सामने नहीं आया है, लेकिन शहर में भ्रष्टाचार को लेकर लोगों का गुस्सा लगातार बढ़ता जा रहा है।

During a joint press statement, both leaders witnessed the exchange of several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). These agreements indicate a wide-ranging effort to enhance economic engagement and deepen cooperation in both emerging and established sectors.

Prime Minister Modi welcomed President Lee, describing his life as “an inspiring example of struggle, service, and dedication,” and stated that the visit represents an important step in further reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two democracies. Highlighting shared democratic values, Modi noted that the relationship is progressing from a trusted partnership toward a futuristic strategic alliance.

Trade Expansion and CEPA Upgrade

A major outcome of the summit was the decision to substantially increase bilateral trade. Both nations have set a goal to raise trade to $50 billion by 2030, nearly doubling the present volume of around $25–27 billion. To achieve this, the leaders agreed to upgrade the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) within the coming year to better reflect evolving global trade trends.

Industrial Cooperation and Investment Boost

To further enhance industrial ties, Prime Minister Modi announced plans to develop dedicated Korean industrial townships in India. These townships are intended to support the entry and growth of South Korean companies, especially small and medium enterprises, by offering better infrastructure and regulatory assistance.

An Industrial Cooperation Committee will also be set up as a ministerial platform to strengthen business engagement and promote trade and investment between the two countries.

Financial and Economic Mechanisms

To support expanding economic relations, both sides announced the establishment of new institutional mechanisms. The India-Korea Financial Forum will help ensure smoother capital movement and boost investment partnerships, while an Economic Security Dialogue will focus on critical technologies and supply chain resilience.

Additionally, discussions were held on simplifying regulatory processes for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), enabling smoother industrial cooperation and business activities.

India-Korea Digital Bridge

A key highlight of the summit was the launch of the “India-Korea Digital Bridge,” a long-term initiative aimed at strengthening cooperation in advanced technology sectors such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and information technology.

This initiative reflects the shared vision of both nations to build resilient supply chains and future-ready industries. Collaboration in areas like chip manufacturing, advanced technologies, and innovation ecosystems is expected to play a significant role in shaping the partnership.

Expanding Cultural and People-to-People Ties

Beyond economic and technological engagement, both leaders emphasised the importance of cultural and people-to-people connections. They noted the increasing popularity of Korean culture in India and identified films, animation, gaming, and entertainment as growing areas of engagement.

On cultural ties, the Prime Minister remarked, “India and Korea share cultural ties dating back thousands of years. The story of Princess Suriratna of Ayodhya and King Kim Suro of Korea from 2,000 years ago is our shared heritage.” He added, “Today, K-Pop and K-Dramas are becoming very popular in India. Similarly, the recognition of Indian cinema and culture is growing in Korea. We are delighted that President Lee himself is a fan of Indian cinema. To strengthen this cultural connect, we will organize the India-Korea Friendship Festival in 2028.”

Quoting Rabindranath Tagore, the Prime Minister concluded, “Nearly 100 years ago, India’s great poet, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, called Korea the ‘Lamp of the East.’ Today, Korea is a vital partner in realizing our resolve for a ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ (Developed India 2047). Let us, through our partnership, pave the way for the progress and prosperity of both our countries and the entire world.”

Global and Strategic Cooperation

The leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments, underlining the importance of stability and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. They agreed to deepen collaboration in areas such as green energy, critical technologies, and supply chain security.

Prime Minister Modi welcomed South Korea’s participation in global initiatives such as the International Solar Alliance and the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative, highlighting a shared commitment to sustainable development and environmental responsibility.

Vision for the Future

President Lee appreciated India’s development progress and its long-term growth vision, while both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to building a forward-looking partnership. The visit, the first by a South Korean president to India in over eight years, is being regarded as a major milestone in bilateral relations.

The summit concluded with Prime Minister Modi accepting an invitation to visit South Korea in the near future, indicating continued high-level engagement between the two nations.

With expanded engagement across economic, technological, cultural, and strategic domains, India and South Korea have laid the groundwork for a deeper and more comprehensive partnership in the coming years.

Upendra Rai emphasised credibility, fearless journalism, and the responsibility of mainstream media in the digital age, while Yashwant Singh highlighted the importance of independent media platforms in ensuring transparency and accountability within the industry. Both were felicitated for their outstanding contributions to journalism.

The conclave also honoured several distinguished personalities from diverse fields: Dr. Binish Thomas, Director, International Council for Journalists, was honoured for his contribution to global journalism dialogue and received recognition in the Best Geo-Politics category. Mr. Niraj Sharma, noted social worker, influencer, and public figure, was awarded for his impactful presence as an Impact Influencer.

A special combined session featuring three astrologers highlighted the growing influence of traditional knowledge systems in modern public discourse.

Among those recognised in the field of astrology and spiritual guidance: Mrs. Nitisha Malhotra (Astrologer Nitisha Malhotra) was honoured with the Jyotish Martand Samman. Ms. Aditi Dua (Tarot by Aditi) received the Stellar Visionary Influencer award for her work as a tarot card reader. Mrs. Poonam Choudhary (Poonam Choudhary Official) was conferred the Jyotish Gaurav Samman for her contribution as a Vedic astrologer.

 With Bhadas4Media as the media partner and Bharat Express as the channel partner, the conclave successfully brought together traditional media, digital platforms, and policymakers under one roof. Vivek Sharma, New Delhi, April, 2026: Korean Cultural Centre India successfully hosted the ‘K-Dream Stage: All India K-Pop Grand Championship 2026’ at the Yashobhoomi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. The grand event was organised at a large-scale venue and marked India’s largest K-pop competition and served as a grand finale of the long-running ‘All India K-Pop Contest,’ now in its 16th year since its inception in 2011. It became a vibrant platform for cultural exchange where the youth of Korea and India came together through music. Distinguished guests, including First Lady Kim Hea Kyung; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Chae Hwi Young; and Co-Chair of the Popular Culture Exchange Committee Park Jin Young, attended the event along with around 3,000 local Hallyu fans, creating an electrifying atmosphere. 

The event was structured into pre-event, main event, and post-event segments. The pre-event featured a K-pop Random Play Dance led by seven leading dancers, where around 50 audience members freely joined in dancing near the stage, energizing the crowd. 

During the main event, welcoming remarks by Minister Chae Hwi Young were followed by a congratulatory message from First Lady Kim Hea Kyung. Minister Chae expressed his appreciation, stating that while he had long been aware of India’s love for K-culture, seeing such a large and enthusiastic audience filled him with emotion. First Lady Kim remarked that she hopes the event would serve as a meaningful opportunity to further deepen and expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges between Korea and India. 

The main event began with the three performances in the vocal category – Abhipriya Chakraborty, Shruti Dasgupta, Unnati Singh Bilwal, followed by the three in the dance category – MIXDUP, OUTKASTS, 3Plus4Crew – each delivering a five-minute performance. 

Judges including Park Jin Young, Lee Woo Chang (HYBE India), and dancer Lip J highly praised the participants’ skills. Park Jin Young noted that the Indian contestants’ Korean pronunciation and emotional expression were impressive, adding that while technique is important, connecting with the audience through genuine emotion is even more crucial.

The event also featured performances by invited artists X:IN (including Indian member Aria), Dhvani Bhanushali, and Younite. During the awards ceremony, Park Jin Young personally presented the vocal category awards, while Minister Chae Hwi Young presented the dance category awards. The post-event segment included interactive sessions between the artists and the audience, which received an enthusiastic response. 

This competition served as a grand championship featuring only the top 36 winning teams from across India over the past five years (2021–2025), with 25 teams ultimately participating in the final round. The event brought together passionate performances by young Indian participants and Korean artists, creating a meaningful experience where the youth of both countries could connect and appreciate each other’s cultures. 

Korean Cultural Centre India stated that it will continue to expand Korea–India cultural exchange through K-pop and contribute to the spread of Hallyu and the strengthening of bilateral friendship in India.

He was joined by an exceptional ensemble of artists: Clio Papadia, an accomplished pianist, who beautifully blended Western classical traditions with Eastern musical textures; Alexia Yiangou, whose soulful cello performance added emotional depth and richness; and Paris Paraschos, whose powerful vocals brought out the essence of Cypriot culture and a universal message of peace.

Karageorgis, trained at the prestigious Aaron Copland School of Music under Allen Brings and Leo Kraft, has developed a distinctive compositional style combining contemporary techniques with traditional Cypriot folk elements. His work spans solo, chamber, orchestral, and electronic music, including the acclaimed piece “The Dream.”

As a founding member of the Centre of Cypriot Composers, he has played a significant role in promoting Cypriot music globally. His contributions to music education have also been instrumental in nurturing young talent and preserving cultural heritage.

The evening witnessed the presence of diplomats, cultural personalities, media representatives, and art lovers, who appreciated the soulful and immersive performances.

Our associations are pushing for training programs to equip the next generation.”

They emphasized that while technology is transforming journalism, the core values of ethical reporting, creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability remain essential for aspiring media professionals.

Students actively participated in the interaction and raised questions regarding career opportunities, the changing newsroom environment, and the skills required to succeed in the media industry today.
